There is no hitter in Major League Baseball hotter than Giancarlo Stanton right now.

The Miami Marlins star went deep for a fourth straight game Sunday for his 42nd home run of the season, tying Gary Sheffield's franchise mark set back in 1996.

Stanton's 359-foot opposite-field shot off Colorado Rockies starter German Marquez was also the 250th of his career and 21st in his last 33 games. He's the sixth-fastest to reach 250 career homers (941 games) in MLB history, according to Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald.

Stanton already owns the Marlins' all-time lead for career home runs.
