Report: Manchester United target Perisic expected to join Inter tourJuly 18, 2017 12:07am

Inter leaves for a Far East tour on Tuesday, and amid reported interest from Manchester United, the Nerazzurri expect Ivan Perisic to be in attendance.

Currently in the United States for the first half of pre-season preparations, United's move for Perisic appears to be nearing completion, with the BBC's Simon Stone reporting that representatives from the club have visited the 28-year-old Croatian international in Milan to force the transfer through.

One variable potentially obstructing the sale is Inter's desire to take out-of-favour Anthony Martial in return, though with no progress on that front, Perisic may join his Nerazzurri brethren for the Serie A side's pre-season trip to Shanghai, China to face Lyon and Bayern Munich before a visit to Singapore to test Chelsea.

Another issue complicating matters is United's tabled offer and Inter's valuation of Perisic, with reports stating that the Lancashire lot's bid was £9 million short of the club's £40-million price tag.

A left-winger able to also ply his trade in a central role or on the right side, Perisic made 36 appearances for Inter last season, pairing 11 goals with eight assists in his second campaign after a €16-million move from Wolfsburg.
